Brochures Printing Services in UK
Brochures are right at the top of all marketing material a company prepares in United Kingdom. As they say, “You’ll never have a second chance to create a good first impression.” A brochure clearly makes a statement about the business or organisation and hence some serious thought must be made in its preparation.
Foremost, it must talk to the readership. Each element from content, design, print and the finish must bring life to what the reader wants to hear to make an informed decision or even form an opinion about the business. Another vital element in this process is how the brochure is to be distributed. Is it being handed over, or displayed at a trade stand or simply put in the post are often treated as a post event matter, if not done properly, may undermine all the arduous work that has been put in.
What to include and what not to:
The written content of a brochure is crucial. A brief history of the business, information about the people at the helm are often added to provide a degree of credibility. The critical information is the extensive information about the products or services and a brief description of the features, then the shift of emphasis on how it can benefit the readers. Good positive testimonials should be added to provide ‘social’ proof of the business’s attractiveness and capabilities.
Process choices:
Many companies choose to print in full colour with added spot colour printing in order to conform to their corporate branding. Brochures will conform to popular sizes like A4 (210 x 297mm), A5 (148.5 x 210mm) or 2/3 A4 (210 x 198mm), however, a landscape version of the brochure or even a slightly larger size is not that uncommon. What does vary greatly is the pagination which can be from single panelled card to a multi-page document. In some cases, companies may see it necessary to print multiple brochures for their segmented marketing to give a more profound impact. Most printers and print processes will quite easily adapt to these requirements easily. In fact
Material options:
A variety of different paper material can be used, it is all about creating an impression and there can never be a compromise. Amongst the most popular is still the ‘gloss’ art. Silk and offset papers have been specified by a lot of designers which not only provides variety, but provides a different and distinct look and feel to the contents. There are hordes of other ‘classic or designer’ paper types that could be used to create a vibrant and lively brochure. It will always pay to check before you finally decide which paper to use. At Evolution, we always recommend using materials that conforms to FSC Standards (Forests for all Forever).
The finishing touches:
Apart from the paper, the print and the paper, there is always additional finishing options like matt laminating, gloss laminating and even soft touch laminating which will enhance your brochure covers and durability. A high-gloss spot varnish over images and branding lifts the covers a great deal. This process is also done to the text pages. Other finishing processes like metallic foil stamping, embossing, die-stamping and even laser cutting can take your brochures to a different level. Next in the list of choices has to be how a brochure is bound and this has to be considered carefully, whether you would need a perfect-bound, saddle stitched or even a wiro-bind finish will be dependent on the number of pages you have in your brochure and who is likely to be receiving it. When it comes to making the right choices, one must weigh the options and our experienced team can help you achieve the perfect choice.
