Religious Calendars

The Hindu calendar is based on the “lunar year” and each “lunar day” is the period of time it takes for the earth’s moon to complete one full rotation on its axis with respect to the sun and the time it takes the moon to make one complete orbit around the Earth.

Hence the information has to be calculated carefully and prepared with utmost accuracy. UK Hindu calendars tend to be different to the ones prepared in India as it takes the local sunrise and sunset times in its considerations.

Hindu Calendars can be prepared in various formats – the most popular calendars are produced in a booklet format – consisting of a large picture for every month with the monthly data at the bottom of the calendar.

There are other formats available as well – whatever your needs, we should be able to help.
